INTRODUCTION
 
This lesson was created as a final project for a Senior level education class.
 
This lesson is about the human body, with a focus on the circulatory and respiratory systems. Students will discover for themselves how both of these systems work and interact with each other.

CONTENT
 
The content of this WebQuest is geared towards 5th and 6th graders. Students will need to know how to take notes by themselves, do their own research, and synthesize that information.

 
 
MASSACHUSETTS FRAMEWORKS
 

Learning Strand 2, #6. Identify the general functions of the major systems of the human body (digestion, respiration, reproduction, circulation, excretion, protection from disease, and movement, control, and coordination) and describe ways that these systems interact with each other.

 
 
IMPLEMENTATION
 
This WebQuest would be best for introducting a unit on the circulatory and respiratory systems, and can also be used throughout the unit as extension lessons and activities.
